Barry the Visionary

With Extraverted Intuition dominating his personality,Barry's primary interest in life is understanding the world that he lives in. He is constantly absorbing ideas and images about the situations he is presented in his life. Using his intuition to process this information, he is usually extremely quick and accurate in his ability to size up a situation. Having has a deeper understanding of his environment than most other people.

This ability to intuitively understand people and situations puts Baz at a distinct advantage in his life. He generally understands things quickly and with great depth. Accordingly, he is quite flexible and adapt well to a wide range of tasks. He is good at most anything that interests him. Very aware of possibilities, making him quite resourceful when solving problems.

Barry is an idea person. His perceptive abilities causes him to see possibilities everywhere. He'll get excited and enthusiastic about his ideas, and is able to spread his enthusiasm to others.

Barry is less interested in developing plans of actions or making decisions than he is in generating possibilities and ideas. Following through on the implementation of an idea is usually a chore to the Bazmeister. For Barry, this results in the habit of never finishing what he starts.

Barry's auxiliary process of Introverted Thinking drives his decision making process. Although the dirtbag is more interested in absorbing information than in making decisions, he is quite rational and logical in reaching conclusions. When he applies Thinking to his Intuitive perceptions, the outcome can be very powerful indeed. Baz is extremely visionary, inventive, and enterprising.

Barry is a fluent conversationalist, mentally quick, and enjoy verbal sparring with others. He loves to debate issues, and may even switch sides sometimes just for his love of the debate. When expressing his underlying principles, however, he feels awkward and speaks abruptly and intensely.

Barry's personality type is sometimes referred to the "Lawyer" type. The Visionary "lawyer" quickly and accurately understands a situation, and objectively and logically acts upon the situation. Their Thinking side makes their actions and decisions based on an objective list of rules or laws. If Barry was defending someone who had actually committed a crime, he is likely to take advantage of quirks in the law that will get his client off the hook. If he were to actually win the case, he would see his actions as completely fair and proper to the situation, because his actions were lawful. The guilt or innocence of his client would not be relevant. To others Barry is perceived as unethical, even dishonest. Although his logical abilities lend strength and purpose to him, they may also isolate him from his feelings and from other people.

The least developed area for Barry is the Sensing-Feeling arena. Causing him not take care of details in his life. He doesn't value other people's input enough and tends to become overly harsh and aggressive.

Under stress, Barry loses their ability to generate possibilities, and becomes obsessed with minor details. These details may seem to be extremely important to him, but in reality are usually not important to the big picture.

In general, Baz is an upbeat visionary. He highly values knowledge, and spends much of his life seeking a higher understanding. He lives in the world of possibilities, and becomes excited about concepts, challenges and difficulties. When presented with a problem, he's good at improvising and quickly come up with a creative solution. Creative, clever, curious, and theoretical, Barry has a broad range of possibilities in his life.

Amy the Crafter

Amy is interested in how things work rather than why they work. She is good at logical analysis, and like to use it on practical concerns. She has strong powers of reasoning, although she's not interested in theories or concepts unless she can see a practical application.

Amy is fiercely independent, needing to have the space to make her own decisions about her next step. She does not believe in or follow rules and regulations, as this would prohibit her ability to "do her own thing". Her desire for action makes Amy prone to becoming bored rather quickly.

Aimpots is loyal to her causes and beliefs, and is a firm believer that people should be treated with equity and fairness. Although she does not respect the rules of the "System", she will follow her own rules and guidelines for behavior faithfully. She will not take part in something which violates her personal laws. Amy is extremely loyal and faithful to her close friends.

Amy likes and needs to spend time alone, because this is when she can sort things out in her mind most clearly. She absorbs large quantities of impersonal facts from the external world, and sorts through those facts, making judgments, when she is alone.

Amy is an action-oriented person. She likes to be up and about, doing things. She is not going to sit behind a desk all day and do long-range planning. Adaptable and spontaneous, she responds to what is immediately before her.

Aimpots avoids making judgments based on personal values - she feels that judgments and decisions should be made impartially, based on the facts. She is not naturally tuned in to how she is affecting others. She does not pay attention to her own feelings, and even distrusts them and trying to ignore them.

When Amy is over-stressed she may exhibit rash emotional outbursts of anger, or on the other extreme may be overwhelmed by emotions and feelings which they feel compelled to share with people. When Amy is down on herself she will foray into the world of value judgments - a place which is not natural for her - and judge herself by her inability to perform some task. She will then approach the task in a grim emotional state, expecting the worst. (like a driving test for example)

Amy is excellent in a crisis situations. She is usually a patient individual, although she may be prone to occasional emotional outbursts due to her inattention to her own feelings.

Amy has a lot of natural ability which makes her good at many different kinds of things. However, she is happiest when they are centered in action-oriented tasks which require detailed logical analysis and technical skill. Taking pride in her ability to take the next correct step.

Amy is optimistic, full of good cheer, loyal to her equals, uncomplicated in her desires, generous, trusting and receptive person who wants no part in confining commitments.

Rodders the Protector

I am a gentle, caring, complex and highly intuitive individual. Artistic and creative, I live in a world of hidden meanings and possibilities. Only one percent of the population has a Protector Personality Type, making it the most rare of all the types.

I place great importance on having things orderly and systematic in my outer world. I put a lot of energy into identifying the best system for getting things done, and constantly define and re-define the priorities in my life. On the other hand, I operate within myself on an intuitive basis which is entirely spontaneous. I know things intuitively, without being able to pinpoint why, and without detailed knowledge of the subject at hand. I am usually right, and I know it. Consequently, I put a tremendous amount of faith into my instincts and intuitions. This is something of a conflict between the inner and outer worlds, and may result in the me not being as organized as other Judging types tend to be. Such as a consistently messy desk.

I have an uncanny insight into people and situations. I get "feelings" about things and intuitively understand them. I have had experiences that can only be described as psychic in nature. This is the sort of thing that other types may scorn and scoff at, and the I don't really understand my intuition at a level which can be verbalised. Consequently, I am protective of my inner self, sharing only what I choose to share when I choose to share it. I'm a deep, complex individual, who is quite private and typically difficult to understand. I hold back part of myself, and can be secretive.

But I'm as genuinely warm as I am complex. I hold a special place in the heart of people who I'm are close to, who are able to see my special gifts and depth of caring. I am concerned for people's feelings, and try to be gentle to avoid hurting anyone. I am very sensitive to conflict, and cannot tolerate it very well. Situations which are charged with conflict tend to 'snap' me into a state of agitation or charged anger (I have been known to go mental) from my normally peaceful state.

Because the I have such strong intuitive capabilities, I trust my own instincts above all else. This may result in my stubborness and tendency to ignore other people's opinions. I believe that I'm right. On the other hand, I am a perfectionist who constantly doubts that I am living up to my full potential. I am rarely at complete peace with myself - there's always something else I can be doing to improve myself and the world around me. I believe in constant growth, and don't often take time to revel in my accomplishments. I have a strong value systems, and need to live my life in accordance with what I feel is right. In deference to the Feeling aspect of my personality, I am in some ways gentle and easy going. Conversely, I have very high expectations of myself, and of my family. I don't believe in compromising my ideals.

I am a natural nurturer; patient, devoted and protective. I make a loving parent and have strong bonds with my children. I have high expectations of them, and will guide them to be the best that they can be. This can sometimes manifest itself in me being hard-nosed and stubborn. But the kids get devoted and sincere parental guidance, combined with deep caring.

I have a natural affinity for art, and also excel in the sciences, where I make use of my intuition. I am not good at dealing with minutia or very detailed tasks.

I am an individual who is gifted in ways that other types are not. Life is not necessarily easy for the protector, but we are capable of great depth of feeling and personal achievement.

Becca the Performer

Rebecca lives in the world of people possibilties. She loves people and new experiences. She is lively and fun, and enjoys being the center of attention. Living in the here-and-now, relishing the excitement and drama in her life.

Becca has very strong inter-personal skills, and may find herself in the role of the peacemaker frequently. Since she makes decisions by using her personal values, she is usually very sympathetic and concerned for other people's well-being. She is quite generous and warm. Very observant about other people, and seems to sense what is wrong with someone before others might, responding warmly with a solution to a practical need. She may not be the best advice-giver in the world, because she dislikes theory and future-planning, but tis great for giving practical care.

Becca is definitely a spontaneous, optimistic individual. For Becca, the entire world is a stage. She loves to be the center of attention and perform for people. Constantly putting on a show for others to entertain them and make them happy. She enjoys stimulating other people's senses, and is extremely good at it. She would love nothing more than for life to be a continual party, in which she plays the role of the fun-loving host.

Becks loves people, and everybody loves Becks. One of her greatest gifts is her general acceptance of everyone. She is upbeat and enthusiastic, and genuinely like almost everybody. Becca is unfailingly warm and generous with her friends, and she generally treats everyone as a friend. However, once crosesed, Becca is likely to make a very strong and stubborn judgment against the person who crossed her. Is capable of deep dislike in such a situation.

Under a great deal of stress Becca gets overwhelmed with negatives thoughts and possibilities. As an optimistic individual who lives in the world of possibilities, negative possibilities do not sit well with her. In an effort to combat these thoughts, she is likely to come up with simple, global statements to explain away the problem. These simplistic explanations may or may not truly get to the nature of the issue, but they serve Becca well by allowing her to get over it.

Becca is very practical, although she hates structure and routine. She likes to "go with the flow", trusting in her ability to improvise in any situation presented to her. Learns best with "hands-on" experience, rather than by studying a book. Beckster does extremely well in situations where she's allowed to learn by interacting with others, or in which she "learns by doing".

Becca has a very well-developed appreciation for aesthetic beauty, and an excellent sense of space and function. Ideally she'd like to have many beautiful possessions, and an artfully furnished home. In general, she takes great pleasure in objects of aesthetic beauty. She has a strong appreciation for the finer things in life, such as good food and good wine.

Becca is a great team player. She is not likely to create any problems or fuss, and is likely to create the most fun environment possible for getting the task done. Will do best in a career in which she is able to use her excellent people skills, along with her ability to meld ideas into structured formats. Since she is a fast-paced individual who likes new experiences, her career should offer or require a lot of diversity, as well as people skills.

Becca has a tremendous love for life, and knows how to have fun. She likes to bring others along on her fun-rides, and is a lot of fun to be with. She's flexible, adaptable, genuinely interested in people, and usually kind-hearted. She has a special ability to get a lot of fun out of life.

Simps the Idealist

Simps, more than most is focused on making the world a better place for people. His primary goal is to find out his meaning in life. What is his purpose? How can he best serve humanity in his life? He is an idealist and perfectionist, who drives himself hard in his quest for achieving the goals he has identified for himself.

Dave is highly intuitive about people. Relying heavily on his intuition to guide him, and use his discoveries to constantly search for value in life. He is on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gained gets sifted through Dave's value system, and is evaluated to see if it has any potential to help Simps define or refine his own path in life. The goal at the end of the path is always the same - Dave is driven to help people and make the world a better place.

Generally thoughtful and considerate, Simps is a good listener and puts people at ease. Although he is reserved in expressing emotion, he has a very deep well of caring and are genuinely interested in understanding people. This sincerity is sensed by others, making him a valued friend and confidante. He is warm with people he knows well.

Sipms does not like conflict, and goes to great lengths to avoid it. If he must face it, he will always approach it from the perspective of his feelings. In conflict situations, Dave places little importance on who is right and who is wrong. He focuses on the way that the conflict makes him feel, and indeed doesn't really care whether or not he's right. He doesn't want to feel badly. This trait sometimes makes him appear irrational and illogical in conflict situations. On the other hand, He makes a very good mediators, and is good at solving other people's conflicts, because he intuitively understands people's perspectives and feelings, and genuinely wants to help them.

Simps is flexible and laid-back, until one of his values is violated. In the face of his value system being threatened, he will become an aggressive defender, fighting passionately for his cause. When Dave has adopted a project or job which he's interested in, it usually becomes a "cause" for him. Although he is not a detail-oriented individual, he will cover every possible detail with determination and vigor when working for his "cause".

Dave does not like to deal with hard facts and logic. His focus on his feelings and the Human Condition makes it difficult for them to deal with impersonal judgments. He doesn't understand or believe in the validity of impersonal judgment, which makes him naturally rather ineffective at using it. Dave will avoid impersonal analysis, although is able to be quite logical. Under stress, it's not uncommon for him to mis-use hard logic in the heat of anger, throwing out fact after (often inaccurate) fact in an emotional outburst.

Simps has a very high standard and ia a perfectionist. Consequently, he is hard on himself, and doesn't give himself enough credit. Dave can have problems working on a project in a group, because his standards are likely to be higher than other members' of the group. He needs to work on balancing his high ideals with the requirements of every day living. Without resolving this conflict, he will never be happy with himself.
Simps is a talented writer. Although he is awkard and uncomfortable with expressing himself verbally, but has a wonderful ability to define and express what he's feeling on paper. Teaching perfect for him because he is at his best in situations where he is working towards the public good, and in which he doesn't need to use hard logic.

Dave will accomplish great and wonderful things, but he will not give himself credit for it.

Josh the Artist

Joshua lives in the world of sensation possibilities. He is keenly in tune with the way things look, taste, sound, feel and smell. He has a strong aesthetic appreciation for art, and he would love to be an artist in some form, because he is unusually gifted at creating and composing things which will strongly affect the senses. He has a strong set of values, which he'll strive to consistently meet in his life. Josh needs to feel as if he is living his life in accordance with what he feels is right, and will rebel against anything which conflicts with that goal.

Josh is quiet and reserved, and difficult to get to know well. He'll hold back his ideas and opinions except from those who he is closest to. He is usually kind, gentle and sensitive in his dealings with others. He's interested in contributing to people's sense of well-being and happiness, and will put a great deal of effort and energy into tasks which he believes in.

Josh has a strong affinity for aesthetics and beauty. Having a true appreciation for the beauties of nature. He is original and independent, and needs to have personal space. He values people who take the time to understand him, and who support him in pursuing his goals in his own, unique way. People who don't know him well may see his unique way of life as a sign of carefree light-heartedness, but Josh actually takes life very seriously, constantly gathering specific information and shifting it through his value system, in search for clarification and underlying meaning.

Josh is an action-oriented individual. Usually uncomfortable with theorizing concepts and ideas, unless he sees a practical application. He learns best in a "hands-on" environment, and consequently may become easily bored with the traditional teaching methods, which emphasize abstract thinking. He does not like impersonal analysis, and is uncomfortable with the idea of making decisions based strictly on logic. His strong value systems demand that decisions are evaluated against their subjective beliefs, rather than against some objective rules or laws.

Josh can be extremely perceptive and aware of others. He constantly gathers specific information about people, and seeks to discover what it means. Usually penetratingly accurate in his perceptions of others.
Josh is warm and sympathetic. He genuinely cares about people (despite what he says), and is strongly service-oriented in his desire to please. He has an unusually deep well of caring for those who are close to him, and is likely to show his love through actions, rather than words (or mumbles).

Josh has no desire to lead or control others, just as he has no desire to be led or controlled by others. He needs space and time alone to evaluate the circumstances of his life against his value system, and are likely to respect other people's needs for the same.
Josh does not give himself enough credit for the things which he does extremely well. His strong value systems can lead him to be intensely perfectionist, and cause him to judge himself with unnecessary harshness.

Joshua has many special gifts for the world, especially in the areas of creating artistic sensation, and selflessly serving others. Life is not easy for Josh, because he take life so seriously, but he has the tools to make his life and the lives of those close to them richly rewarding experiences.

Scott the Duty Fulfiller

Scotty is a quiet and reserved individual who is interested in security and peaceful living. He has a strongly-felt internal sense of duty, which lends him a serious air and the motivation to follow through on tasks. Organized and methodical in his approach, generally succeeding at any task which he undertakes.

Scott is very loyal, faithful, and dependable. He places great importance on honesty and integrity. He is a "good citizen" who can be depended on to do the right thing for his family and community. While he generally takes things very seriously, he also has an offbeat sense of humor and can be a lot of fun - especially at family or work-related gatherings.

Scott tends to believe in laws and traditions. He is not comfortable with breaking laws or going against the rules. If he is able to see a good reason for stepping outside of the established mode of doing things, he will support that effort. However, Scott more often tends to believe that things should be done according to procedures and plans.

Scott is extremely dependable on following through with things which he has promised. For this reason, he'll sometimes get more and more work piled on him. Because he has such a strong sense of duty, he may have a difficult time saying "no" when he is given more work than he can reasonably handle. For this reason, he has often worked long hours, and may be unwittingly taken advantage of.

Scotty will work for long periods of time and put tremendous amounts of energy into doing any task which he sees as important to fulfilling a goal. However, he will resist putting energy into things which don't make sense to him, or for which he can't see a practical application. He prefers to work alone, but works well in teams when the situation demands it. He likes to be accountable for his actions, and enjoys being in a position of authoritah. Scott has little use for theory or abstract thinking, unless the practical application is clear.

Scott has a tremendous respect for facts. Holding a tremendous store of facts within himself, which he has gathered through his Sensing preference. They may have difficulty understanding a theory or idea which is different from his own perspective. However, if he is shown the importance or relevance of the idea by someone who he respects, the idea becomes a fact, which he will internalise and support. Once he supports a cause or idea, he will stop at no lengths to ensure that he is doing his duty of giving support where support is needed.

Scott is not naturally in tune with his own feelings and the feelings of others. He may have difficulty picking up on emotional needs immediately, as they are presented. Being a perfectionist himself he takes his own efforts for granted.
Scott is uncomfortable expressing emotion to others. However, his strong sense of duty and the ability to see what needs to be done in any situation usually allows him to overcome his natural reservations, and is a supporting and caring individual with the people that he loves. Once he realises the emotional needs of those who are close to him, he puts forth effort to meet those needs.

Scott is extremely faithful and loyal. Traditional and family-minded, he will put forth great amounts of effort at making his home and family run smoothly. He is a responsible parent, taking his parenting role seriously. Good and generous provider to his family. He cares deeply about those close to him, although he usually is not comfortable with expressing his love. He is more likely to express his affection through actions, rather than through words.
Scott has an excellent ability to take any task and define it, organize it, plan it, and implement it through to completion. He is a very hard worker, who does not allow obstacles to get in the way of performing his duties. He does not give himself enough credit for his achievements, seeing his accomplishments simply as the natural fulfillment of his obligations.

Scott has a great sense of space and function, and artistic appreciation. Tastefully furnishing his home which is impeccably maintained. He is acutely aware of his senses, and wants to be in surroundings which fit his need for structure, order, and beauty.

Under stress, Scott may fall into "catastrophe mode", where he see nothing but all of the possibilities of what could go wrong. He will berate himself for things which he should have done differently, or duties which he failed to perform. he will lose his ability to see things calmly and reasonably, and will depress himself with his visions of doom.

In general, Scott has a tremendous amount of ability. Capable, logical, reasonable, and effective individual with a deeply driven desire to promote security and peaceful living, not surprising then that Scott is good at achieving his goals and desires.

Ally the Mastermind

Ally lives in the world of ideas and strategic planning. He values intelligence, knowledge, and competence, and typically has high standards in these regards, which he continuously strives to fulfill. To a somewhat lesser extent, he has similar expectations of others.

With Introverted Intuition dominating his personality, Thomo focuses his energy on observing the world, and generating ideas and possibilities. His mind constantly gathers information and makes associations about it. He is tremendously insightful and usually is very quick to understand new ideas. However, his primary interest is not understanding a concept, but rather applying that concept in a useful way. His need for closure and organisation usually requires that he takes some action.

It is not easy for the Ally to express his internal images, insights, and abstractions. The internal form of Thomo's thoughts and concepts is highly individualised, and is not readily translatable into a form that others will understand. However, Ally can translate his ideas into a plan or system that is usually readily explainable, rather than to do a direct translation of his thoughts. He doesn't see the value of a direct transaction, and will also have difficulty expressing his ideas, which are non-linear. However, his extreme respect of knowledge and intelligence will motivate him to explain himself but only to another person who he feels is deserving of the effort.

Ally is a natural leader, although he will usually choose to remain in the background until he sees a real need to take over the lead. When in leadership roles, he is quite effective, because he is able to objectively see the reality of a situation, and is adaptable enough to change things which aren't working well. The supreme strategists - always scanning available ideas and concepts and weighing them against the current strategy, to plan for every conceivable contingency.

Ally spends a lot of time inside his own mind, and has little interest in the other people's thoughts or feelings. Anyone who is emotionally needy will have problems getting the level of intimacy that they require from the Thomster.

Ally's interest in dealing with the world is to make decisions, express judgments, and put everything that he encounters into an understandable and rational system. Consequently, he is quick to express judgments. He has a very evolved intuition, and is convinced that he is right about things. When he is misunderstood. He'll tend to blame misunderstandings on the limitations of the other person, rather than on their own difficulty in expressing himself. This tendency makes him seem generally arrogant and elitist.

Ally is a self-confident, deliberate, long-range thinker. Engineering, scientific pursuit or dare I say lawyer would be ideal for him. He dislikes messiness and inefficiency, and anything that is muddled or unclear. He values clarity and efficiency, and will put enormous amounts of energy and time into consolidating his insights into structured patterns.

Other people may have a difficult time understanding Ally. As he may see them as aloof and reserved. Indeed, Ally is not overly demonstrative of his affections, and is likely to not give as much praise or positive support as others may need or desire. That doesn't mean that he doesn't truly have affection or regard for others, he simply does not typically feel the need to express it. Others may falsely perceive Ally as being rigid and set in his ways. Nothing could be further from the truth, because he is committed to always finding the objective best strategy to implement his ideas. Thomo is usually quite open to hearing an alternative way of doing something.

When under a great deal of stress, he may become obsessed with mindless repetitive, Sensate activities, such as over-drinking. May also tend to become absorbed with minutia and details that they would not normally consider important to his overall goal.

Thomo has a tremendous amount of ability to accomplish great things. Having insight into the Big Picture, and is driven to synthesize his concepts into solid plans of action. His reasoning skills gives him the means to accomplish that. A highly competent person, he and will not have a problem meeting any career or education goals. Has the capability to make great strides in these arenas.
